  • Joel Grandy

    Director

    Joel has extensive experience in the mechanical and datacentre industry. Prior to joining as MD of Kaipara Datacentre Solutions, Joel was Head of Business Development at Climatech for over 8 years.
    Joel first started working on projects in the datacentre industry in 2007 and has been in construction business development roles for over 20 years. He worked with WSP on the Google Twin Tower Singaporean DC (design and construction), managed the design and construction of indirect free cooling systems for the Australian Federal Government and with a key focus on sustainability.
    Joel’s strong network across the datacentre sector, have enabled Joel to truly understand his clients needs and how to deliver projects on time and on budget. Furthermore, Joel has worked across key distribution channels in ANZ, specifically focusing on highly technical data centre solutions. Distributing the Stulz range of Data Centre cooling equiment and solutions. Working closely with end users, Government, Property Groups and Consulting Engineers.

  • Toby Daniel

    Director

    Toby has over 25 years of international experience across property investment, corporate finance and funds management. Over the past 15 years he has transacted or advised on property transactions and developments for private investors and institutions with a completed value of over US$3bn.
    Mr Daniel is experienced in direct, indirect and corporate transactions in all major real estate sectors.
    Prior to joining Kaipara as a Joint MD in 2016, Toby worked for large real estate institutions including CBRE Capital Advisors, JLL Corporate Finance, Logos and Babcock & Brown after starting his career with Ernst & Young Corporate Finance. He is a strategic thinker with deep domestic and global networks having lived and worked in London, Zurich, Sydney and Adelaide.
    Mr Daniel is a Fellow of Chartered Accountants Australia & New Zealand, a Fellow of Finsia, holds a Graduate Diploma of Applied Finance and Investment and a Bachelor of Commerce from The University of Adelaide.

  • David Hopper

    Director

    A highly experienced developer and project manager, David has worked in the property industry for approximately 20 years.
    David started his career managing a property portfolio for Sydney University, then gained experience in sales and leasing of retail shopping centres and commercial office buildings with CBRE. David transitioned to his passion of development where he undertook site acquisitions, leasing, feasibility studies, project procurement and delivery for Woolworths (Fabcot) and also on behalf of clients whilst working at Clifton Coney. His projects have covered residential, retail and commercial projects in NSW, Queensland and Victoria.
    Mr Hopper founded Kaipara in 2011 and has been highly successful in growing this business. He is an ethical and dedicated property professional who values relationships and ensuring that stakeholder interests are aligned to the core values of the business.
    David has a Bachelor of Business & Commerce (Property) from WSU, a Masters in Commerce from Sydney University and a Masters of Property Development from UTS. He is also a member of the Property Council of Australia and the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

  • Tony Sukkar

    Director

    As Managing Director and Co-Founder of Buildcorp, Tony’s career has spanned over four decades of leadership in construction, rugby and the community. Between 2012 to 2018, Tony served as a Board Member of the Kambala School Council whilst also chairing its Property Committee. From 2010 – 2018, Tony was a member of the University of Sydney Buildings and Estates Committee, providing strategic counsel to the University’s campus improvement program. In 2019, Tony was awarded an Honorary Fellowship of the University of Sydney in recognition of this contribution. His passion for community and rugby has also led Buildcorp to be one of the longest running grassroots sports sponsors in Australia, with over 30 years as the Major Sponsor of the Sydney University Football Club. In 2017 Tony was recognised for his services to construction, the community and sports with a Medal of the Order Australia in the Queen’s Birthday Honours list.
